If you want to get a web user’s attention, you need to present them with something really arresting. As you can see, if you take all the useless information and extraneous images away from a landing page, you end up with a striking statement that will make people want to take a closer look. Just make sure not to go too simple; if you take absolutely all the flourishes away, you’ll end up with a sterile, boring page.
